Ruben Terlou, doctor and photographer, traveled along the Yangtze in China, capturing beautiful, bitter sweet, human stories, in the Dutch series "Langs de oevers van de Yangtze".
Ruben approached people humbly, speaking their language, but, most of the times, just listening.
I am as touched by someone doing work of great value as I was when the old man below, a member of the Miao minority, showed the traveler his remote, simple home, contrasting with a TV, his healing plants and spices, and a traditional dance with his wife.
