I'm stuck in a bit over my head with what is supposed to be my academic breaktrough. 'How could practices of peace journalism establish and mantain trust among newspaper readers?'...The big question to which I can't predict the answer. Its subsequent issues of framing conflict, war reporting and propaganda, moral foundations and erosion of trust as part of the social capital, news as inherently disruptive, the ethics of intervention...Critical discourse analysis and convergent interviews. When did I get to talk like this? What's the point of it all? Who invented coding schemes and multidimensional scales anyway?
